Advanced Nursing - a new master's program at ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University

Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy is launching a 2-year new professional master’s degree program in advanced nursing.

The program's mission is to create and disseminate knowledge and skills at the highest level of excellence, to train qualified specialists who will provide health care services, carry out scientific research and professional training throughout their lives, preserving, promoting and developing national values. The program provides for the training of young specialists holding a bachelor's degree in nursing which includes abilities, knowledge and professional and transversal skills that correspond to the requirements and expectations of employers and the labor market.

The objectives of the Advanced Nursing study program are:

• the development and implementation of local and national health plans and strategies for various categories of the adult population;

• identifying problems in the field of adult health and developing viable and innovative solutions;

• performing the comprehensive assessment of adults in various physiological and pathological conditions, including medical emergencies and establishing the nursing diagnosis;

• developing and implementing care plans focusing on the needs of the beneficiary;

• implementing and carrying out educational activities for the promotion of healthy lifestyle and adult health;

• developing and implementing individualized intervention plans for various categories of adults with health problems;

• implementing measures to prevent health problems, ensuring patient safety and reducing individual and community risks;

• communication and cooperation with professionals from related health services and other relevant fields (educational, social and inclusion) regarding the care, referral and guidance of patients with health problems;

• carrying out education and training activities at individual and community level;

• interpretation of scientific data in the field of health for the development of individualized care plans;

• conducting research and development in the field of general medical care.

Graduates of the Advanced Nursing master's study program can work in public medical and sanitary institutions and private institutions that provide adult health services (family doctor's centers, health centers, health and family doctor's offices, advisory centers, community centers, individual offices, general and specialized hospitals of various levels, etc.).
